Snuggle Sandwiches

David and I often make "snuggle sandwiches" with Emmett in the middle. I was talking to Emmett about making snuggle sandwiches with him and the new baby. He said "I could be the turkey, and the baby could be the cheese!"

Emmett learns an important life lesson

We've been potty training, which means a lot of time running around the house in a t-shirt and underwear. Emmett likes to pretend-vacuum with the long tube from Dad's shop-vac. So he was running with the tube between his legs, "vacuuming" the driveway, when he hit a crack in the concrete. He now knows just how much it hurts when a boy is hit between the legs.

Emmett's first Sudoku

Emmett has finished his first Sudoku. David did a lot of prompting and they used the online "hints" but Emmett placed the numbers.

So now we're tied -- Emmett has finished one Sudoku, Mom has finished one Sudoku. Guess I'd better get to work...

Pregnancy Pains

You may or may not know (or remember) that ligaments attached to a growing uterus sometimes get stretched and send out sharp little shooting pains. Emmett was near me when I was hit with one and winced. I told him I was having a little pain in my belly, and he asked, "Is it the baby's fingernails?"
